1. Who we are
Udruženje žena „Ustikolina“ is a non-profit citizens’ association registered in Bosnia & Herzegovina under MPBK: RI12015, with its registered office at Kralja Tvrtka 36, Tešanj 74260, Bosnia & Herzegovina. Contact: +387 61 063 848, guerrero-jcp@gmx.com.
2. Website use
- The content of this site is provided for information about our work. We make every effort to keep programme details, dates and figures accurate, but content may become out of date between updates.
- Text, photographs, craft designs and the association emblem are our property or used with permission, and may not be reproduced commercially without written consent.
- You may quote or share our content for non-commercial, educational or journalistic purposes with attribution to the association.
- You may not use this site to transmit unlawful, abusive or misleading material, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it.
3. Membership
- Membership is voluntary and open to adults who accept the statute of the association.
- Membership takes effect upon acceptance of an application by the Management Board and, where applicable, payment of the annual fee.
- Members may resign in writing at any time. Fees already paid are not refunded.
- Membership may be terminated by decision of the Management Board for serious breach of the statute, for conduct that endangers other participants, or for non-payment of fees after written reminder. The member has the right to appeal to the Assembly.
4. Programme participation
- Places on training cycles are limited and allocated by the programme coordinator, with priority given to active members and to women without independent income.
- Participation is free of charge unless expressly stated otherwise. Materials provided for training remain the property of the association until a piece is completed and accounted for.
- Participants are expected to attend regularly. Unexplained absence from three consecutive sessions may release the place to another applicant.
- Health seminars provide general education only. They do not constitute medical diagnosis, treatment or a substitute for consulting a physician.
- Counselling and listening sessions are supportive, not clinical psychotherapy, except where explicitly delivered by our licensed psychologist. In an emergency, contact the emergency services or the SOS helpline for women survivors of violence.
5. Craft orders and sales
- All items are handmade. Small variations in colour, dimension and pattern are inherent to the technique and are not defects.
- Prices are quoted in convertible marks (KM/BAM). Custom orders require confirmation of specification and a delivery estimate in writing before work begins.
- For custom orders above 200 KM we may request a deposit of up to 30%, which covers materials and is non-refundable once cutting or dyeing has begun.
- Faulty items are replaced or refunded within fourteen days of receipt. Custom-made items are not returnable unless faulty.
- 70% of the sale price of each item is paid to the craftswoman who produced it; the remainder covers materials, transport and workshop costs.
6. Donations
- Donations are voluntary and non-refundable once processed, except where a payment was made in error and is reported within thirty days.
- Where a donation is given for a stated purpose, we apply it to that purpose. If that programme cannot proceed, we contact the donor to agree an alternative use.
- Donors receive written confirmation and may request a report on the use of their gift.
- We do not accept donations whose source cannot be identified, or which would compromise our independence or non-partisan status.
7. Volunteers
- Volunteering does not create an employment relationship or entitlement to remuneration.
- Volunteers must accept our safeguarding policy, confidentiality undertaking and code of conduct before beginning work.
- Roles involving contact with minors or vulnerable adults are subject to our standard checks and a probation period.
- Either side may end a volunteer arrangement at any time. We ask for reasonable notice so that programme continuity is protected.
8. Conduct and safety
All participants, staff, volunteers and visitors are entitled to a space free of harassment, discrimination, intimidation and gossip. Breaches of this expectation are addressed by the Executive Director and, in serious cases, by the Management Board. Our premises are non-smoking and no political or religious campaigning is permitted in them.
9. Limitation of liability
We deliver our programmes with professional care, but to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in activities, use of information published on this site, or business decisions taken on the basis of our training. Participants use tools, machines and kitchen equipment at their own responsibility after receiving safety instruction.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Bosnia & Herzegovina. We ask that any dispute first be raised with the Executive Director in writing so that it can be resolved directly. If that is not possible, jurisdiction lies with the competent court in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
11. Changes
We may amend these terms to reflect changes in our activities or in the law. The revised version is published on this page with a new date and applies from the date of publication.
